Questions people ask
What makes Osmuch different from other inventory software?
Most tools bolt inventory onto something else, or leave you paying for a separate app for every job. Osmuch is built inventory-first, then wraps quoting, jobs, invoicing, accounts and your team's calendar around that same stock. One login, no double entry. And because it's a small Shropshire company, you're supported directly by the founder who built it.
Can it handle stock across more than one location?
Yes. Run stock across warehouses, stores, stockrooms and vans, transfer it between them, and the organisation-wide total stays accurate the whole time, with a low-stock alert the moment any product drops to the minimum you set.
Does it track batches, expiry dates and reordering?
It does. Record batch numbers and expiry dates so nothing goes out of date unnoticed, keep each supplier's cost and lead time against every product, and raise purchase orders you can email straight to a supplier and track through to delivery.
Can I quote and invoice from the same system that holds my stock?
Yes, and that's the point. Build a branded quote, turn an accepted one into a job, and generate its invoice, without re-typing a single line item. Stock used on a job comes off your inventory automatically, so the count stays right.
Is my data private, and can I get it back out?
Every organisation's stock, customers, quotes and accounts are kept separate, and no other company on Osmuch can see them. Your data stays yours: export your accounts and records whenever you want, in standard formats.
Do I need to be technical to get set up?
No. During the beta we set each business up ourselves. We'll help import your products and settings and walk your team through it. If you can use a spreadsheet, you'll be at home in Osmuch.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. Osmuch is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android. It is the same account as the website, and it keeps the day's jobs, your products and the barcode scanner on the phone so you can keep working with no signal.
How do customers pay, and what does it cost me?
Connect your own Stripe account and a “Pay now” link appears automatically on sent quotes and invoices. Payments land directly in your account at a 0% platform fee. We never take a cut of your money.
